In the third and fourth planes of development (adolescence and early adulthood), Montessori environments introduce activities related to entrepreneurship, trade, and real-world economic participation. Adolescents may manage a farm, run a small business, or participate in community service projects. These experiences help adolescents develop financial literacy, responsibility, and an understanding of their role in society.
